The X-Factor

Ever since Lamar Odom became a Laker, he has been considered that player that if he plays well, its hard for the Lakers to lose. When you have a guy coming off the bench that could arguably start on any other roster in the league, I'd say your team is pretty darn good. 6"9 with the game of a point guard from NYC, Lamar is an extremely difficult match-up for almost any team. Proven in game one of the western conference finals, Lamar came off the bench hitting shots and grabbing rebounds all over the court, finishing with 19 points and 19 rebounds. I mean as if Kobe dropping 40 on you wasn't enough, you finally see the Lakers bench stepping their games up. Was it mainly due to the much needed 6 day layoff? I guess we will see when they suit up for game 2 on Wednesday night....Expect to see the Suns give a better effort, but the size and strengh of the Lakers just may be too much to handle.

  1. your right on the money, Odom is certainly the X factor. I dont think anyone has eer questioned his ability, had he shown any consistency throughout his carrer, he would be considered one of the premier players in the game. A matchup nightmare! When he is crashing the boards, and Gasol is not playing marshmellowy soft, you may be right, they may just be too big and too good for anyone.
